Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement
Last updated: 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Lazarus software application ("Lazarus", "the Software") provided by HoodAngelZ LLC ("we", "us"), a Wyoming limited liability company. By purchasing, installing, or using Lazarus, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
Subject to an active subscription and these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Lazarus on devices you own or control, for your own personal or commercial recovery work. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or share your license or the Software.
2. Subscription, billing, and renewal
- Lazarus is sold as an annual subscription. Your subscription renews automatically each year at your locked rate until you cancel.
- Founder and Early Adopter rates are locked for as long as your subscription remains continuously active. Where we describe a rate as locked "for life," that means for as long as your subscription stays continuously active.
- If you cancel, your locked rate is released permanently. You keep access until the end of your current paid term. Re-subscribing later is at the then-current public price, with no reinstatement of a previous Founder or Early Adopter rate.
- Payment is processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle, whose terms also apply to the transaction.
3. Best-effort recovery; no warranty of outcome
Lazarus reconstructs the structure of a corrupted recording so that intact recorded frames can play back. Recovery outcomes depend on the condition of each file and cannot be guaranteed. Lazarus does not repair damaged image data. The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Always keep independent backups of important footage. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HoodAngelZ LLC is not liable for any data loss or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Software.
4. Interoperability and lawful reverse engineering
Lazarus is independent interoperability software. It was developed through lawful reverse engineering for the sole purpose of interoperability, as permitted under U.S. law (including 17 U.S.C. § 1201(f)) and EU law (including Article 6 of the Software Directive, 2009/24/EC). Lazarus does not contain, copy, or redistribute any third-party manufacturer's software, libraries, or code.
5. No affiliation
Lazarus and HoodAngelZ LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any camera manufacturer. All product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used, if at all, only for identification.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Lazarus only on files you own or are authorized to work with, and in compliance with applicable law. You may not attempt to circumvent license controls or use the Software to infringe the rights of others.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. On termination, you must stop using and remove the Software.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
